Type your search term in to the box above
just like a normal search engine and then click the 'search'
button. Alternatively, use the directory of
common research terms.
Where do the AskJack Search Results Come From?
The search results page is split in to two
parts:
Google™ Adsense
At the top of the page four results are shown from the Adsense program.
Adsense uses advanced Google™ technology to determine what the search is
about and then selects the most relevant links for that topic. If no links
match the search term a default set of links are shown using the most
recent search requests. These are owned and published by 32 Corners
Ltd.
Alternate results are provided by Mirago an UK based search
engine.
Narrow the Scope by Lengthening the Search
String According to some of the top search engine statistics, most people use
single word search terms. This can, as in the example above produce exactly the
results you're looking for, but more often the user is overwhelmed by to many
search returns. A search for "mortgage"
returns thousands of results, while a search for "discount
mortgage" starts to filter the results. Adding further terms to the
search string will tighten up the results even further "first+time+buyer+mortgage".
Search the World
A good technique for obtaining relevant search results from around the world is
to append the country name. I know this sounds simple and obvious, but the
single search word "Spain" is in the top 20 of the most used search
words. This just doesn't make sense, as a search for Property
in Spain, Holiday
in Spain or even Working
in Spain would surely return better results.
