Test Cricket Day 2 - South Africa v Australia & West Indies v England
After overnight rain and humid conditions the South Africans came out roaring. They ripped into the Aussies and bowled them out for 352.
Then the Aussies roared back and took 3 quick wickets. At this moment SA are 52 for 3 and looking rattled.
My Lay-the-Draw bet is looking good with Back the draw odds currently at 3.5 and a positive trade could be made. However, I'm going to let things ride, as SA need to score 153 to avoid the follow on. If that happens, a draw will become unlikely and a trade would be pointless.
The Back-the-Draw odds for the Windies v England Test have remained steady overnight and will probably stay that way unless a collapse or heavy scoring takes place today. Less than an hour to go before this one comes in-play.
South Africa v Australia Lay the Draw £10 @ 1.88 Liability £8.80 - Back the Draw Current Odds 5 (green book possible to recover stake and recycle in today's football matches, maybe?)
West Indies v England Lay the Draw £10 @ 1.8 Liability £8 - Back the Draw Current Odds 1.97 (no trade at this stage)
Things could still go tits-up with both bets, but at the moment; I'm swimming in GREEN water
Stumps - Day 2
Australia 352 South Africa 138/7
South Africa trail by 214 runs with 3 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.
The follow on looks unlikely after some stout batting by SA.
Back the Draw odds is: 4.9 and I'm holding the position, as the Aussies are in a very strong position going into the 3rd day.
England are steadily adding runs with ones and twos:
Lunch - Day 2
England 372/4
Back the Draw odds is: 1.8 which is where I started?
I hope this is NOT another "bugger, fart and shag the cat" situation...
Here's yet another flag and this time the "cricket" is tits-up!
Lay the draw...
