THIRTY QUID DOWN... and the blood is on the floor.
Yesterday was a disaster for Lay bets against the favourite. One by one my bets came to grief.

Who would have guessed Celtic would come up with a blank? Spurs scoring late and Juventus finally finding the net definitely saved the day and reduced my losses. Thankfully, my cricket bets are holding up and should cover the feck-up from yesterday's football bets.
Two Bets Today
Lay Arsenal - Lay Everton
Daft as a brush...
Arsenal v Burnley FA Cup 5th Round
Arsenal come into this game on the back of a fine 1-3 win midweek over the Baggies. Burnley are basically buggered and only a die-hard fan or a lunatic would back them to beat the Gunners.
That's my assessment.
Therefore: Lay the Gunners and hope for a slow start!
That's my plan and here's my Betfair screen:
This one has the potential to go tits-up, but with a bit of luck a profitable trade might crop up.
YEP, 3-0 and the Gunners stuffed the Burnley Barmaids.
I could have traded out when they were 0-0 but left things to late.
In total desperation I went raiding in Italy and found a good trade:
This might go some way to mitigate the feck-up... who knows and who cares?
Everton v Middlesbrough FA Cup Quarter Final
I've got a feeling that Middlesbrough might just steal this one. Sure, they got a thumping at Spurs midweek but that match was a lot closer than the 4-0 score might suggest. Everton were firing blanks in their last match and look a little jaded.
Lay Everton and wait for the early goal from Middlesbrough before putting a Back bet on Everton to get a green book.
That's the plan and here's my screen:
Total liability for both bets is £12.80 with a bit of good luck and fair winds I could be walking in the green before halftime!
Fingers crossed... Arsenal - Burnley are about to go in-play.
Awe, crap... both matches are live on San-fecking-tan-fecking-trap (rip-off TV) so 5 Live to the rescue!
Halftime - Everton v Middlesbrough
The Boyz did the job just before halftime. I went to a green book and get at least 6 quid to make my P&L a little bit more respectable.
This will probably be a draw... going offshore!
Huh, 3 minutes in and Everton score. This one was always going to be tricky.
