Day 4 Test Cricket and Mixed Fortunes

Written by Jack

Stumps - Day 4
Australia 352 & 331/5d
South Africa 138 & 244/2
South Africa require another 302 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

Realistically, two results are possible - a draw or an Australian win, but maybe, just maybe SA will come out tomorrow with all guns blazing and snatch an unlikely victory.

To limit my liability I've closed out this Lay-the-Draw bet and got a green book favouring an Aussie win.

The England train-wreck continues... least said, sooner mended.

Here's my current Betfair screens for both matches:

At this stage my best outcome is a loss of 40p or £4.96 (dust to dust and wait for the ashes). I just hope the ODI matches are a little more exciting.

After the weekend's football bets going tits-up and then finding England firing blanks... it's a dismal outcome from a very positive position on Friday morning.

I guess there's only one thing left to say:

Bugger, fart and shag the cat!

Fiddling With The Odds

In a total bored hazy I played around with the Betfair P&L screen.

If I was daft enough to put £208 on the Draw, I'd recover a few quid.

The fact is; after a lifetime following and supporting England (football, cricket, rugby and even topless table tennis) I'm still astonished by almost EVERY England team's ability to lose.

Went offshore and found this fine trade:

This one is still in-play, but it recovers the England feck bet.

One day, England will win... until then; I'm going to LAY them!

Oh, AGF v Vejle ended up at 1-1

I think they are Danish teams? Whatever, £9.98 can be off-set against the England feck-up.

Another Offshore Trade Goes Green!

Smoking... in Italy and on FIRE in Germany!

That just about cleans the bad taste from the Test Match.

This experiment is closed.

Bugger, fart and shag the cat.
